Hello from a newbie and please some advice!

Hello all.

I have been lucky enough to have recently undertaken paid bird surveying work and I therefore am looking to advance my career in the conservation field. I know conservation is a very competitive area but hopefully lady luck will deal and so far has dealt her cards favourably. I am a keen reader of all things related to natural history but of course I wish for further education. Has anyone out there undertaken any open learning courses and if so, which course/companies do you advise. In my later years I hope to get a degree to my name at some stage as this will make me more employable.
