| | | Re: Hiiiiii| :-)!!! mmm it could be several things
1) They could be all of the same species. Some spp have a high variability.
But if they are separated by coulors ??
2) It could be 2 diferent species and one prefer bush A and the other the bush B
But if both bushes are from the same species??
3) It could be the microclime in both bushes: Maybe one is cooler than the other and snails are there in fonction of preferences.
4) Maybe it is the competition between species. The stronger snails will be on the bush they prefers and leave the other on the other bush.
Do you have any other idea?? |

| | | Re: Hiiiiii| :-)!!! Is it 1) camouflage? Are the yellow snails on a yellowish leaved bush etc?
2) temperature? Is one bush more exposed than the other?
Have you tried moving a snail from one bush to the other? Does it move back?

| | | Re: Hiiiiii| :-)!!! Hello henrya the bushes are west facing, neither has any peculiarities
that I can discern, snails are removed as they are found during pruning and given a long walk home treatment I have not yet found any cross over |

| | | Re: Hiiiiii| :-)!!! Better let us have some pictures (from the top, bottom, and side) of these snails, nightshade, amd maybe we can identify the species and work out what's going on.

Nightshade, you may want to start a new thread in the relevant forum, hopefully you'll get more responses. (At the moment it's in the "Hello" forum).
