| | | Spider id please Hello
Just found spider in garden and never seen anything like it before and can't find anything online either! Tried taking photo but my camera is not very good and it just comes out as a blur!
It's orangey/brown colour, only about 3cm long, extremely long legs (4) at front and other 4 are much shorter. It's body is in 2 parts, head is roundish and similar colour to legs but sort of clear and body is solid colour but with light green patch on it. Any ideas?
Many thanks |

Can't help with spiders as they're too scary, but welcome to WAB

| | | Re: Spider id please Did it look like this in the way the legs are arranged? This is a Tetragnatha striata - a rare species but similar in looks to others in the genus. |

| | | Re: Spider id please Thanks. Yes it did look a bit like that, the shape & legs are right but the colour is different. Is it a biter?
Thanks |

| | | Re: Spider id please I think it may be one of the Tetragnatha family from your description and confirmation of type.
You've nothing at all to fear from these spiders, they do not bite. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
