I have the same trouble passing windows, Riverbird, and the first thing I put on in the mornings is my camera!

Have the dogs grown up in a houseboat, or is this a new venture for you all? What made you decide to do it? We look longingly at the houseboats when we are near a canal, or when we go to cropredy, (music festival you may know of) and it looks idyllic!

No my dogs havent grown up on the boat, one of my dogs loves it, but the other wont go out the door if he sees that the tide is in, or if the swans are round haha hes a bit of a wimp!!
We decided to get a houseboat as house prices are soo high & we get more room (inside & out ) for our money.
Also its a lovly way of life & i love to be close to nature.
I dont think i could live in a house now, id be bored!! Unless i could afford to buy a house & land in the countryside, the i could be persuided! lol
Wats music festival you reffered to ??
Yes it does look idyllic, but not so ideal when there are high tides & gale force winds!! lol
I would definatly say 'go for it' to anyone who was thinking of buying one |

| | | Re: Hello! Cropredy is the name of the festival and of the village above Banbury, Riverbird. Fairport's Cropredy Convention guide - Menu page
It's the Fairport convention festival, and suits oldies like us as well as the younger folk. Gets all sorts of great musicians, highlights for me include Dervish, and Richard Thomson, as well as Fairport convention of course.
It's wonderful, we camp, take your own loo!!!
