No my dogs havent grown up on the boat, one of my dogs loves it, but the other wont go out the door if he sees that the tide is in, or if the swans are round haha hes a bit of a wimp!!
We decided to get a houseboat as house prices are soo high & we get more room (inside & out ) for our money.
Also its a lovly way of life & i love to be close to nature.
I dont think i could live in a house now, id be bored!! Unless i could afford to buy a house & land in the countryside, the i could be persuided! lol
Wats music festival you reffered to ??
Yes it does look idyllic, but not so ideal when there are high tides & gale force winds!! lol
I would definatly say 'go for it' to anyone who was thinking of buying one |

It's the Fairport convention festival, and suits oldies like us as well as the younger folk. Gets all sorts of great musicians, highlights for me include Dervish, and Richard Thomson, as well as Fairport convention of course.
It's wonderful, we camp, take your own loo!!!

| | | Re: Hello! Oh, no, Riverbird, they have portaloos cleaned regularly. Just, when there are so many people using them......
Also many many stalls selling typical fancy goods, good hats, delicious food of all kinds, wonderful vegetarian stuff, Mmmmm!
Nearby village with shops and postoffice.
Great atmosphere! Great musicians. Huge site so you're not crouded. Moorings along canal at side of site.

The vegee food is best I've found! I'm not vegee, used to be but gave in to pressure from James, weak woman that I am, but chose vegee whenever I get the chance. Amazing spinach curry, I want some now, I remember how good it was... Oh, oh, oh!
