| | | identify footprints A single line track(from walking on wet grass) arrow shaped. Think it is mammal , could it be a fox? I don't think it is a bird. Not sure how to get image from Picassa to my pics hence no photo!Any ideas. It is by the pond but I think came from field next door first thing this morning. many thanks |

| | | Re: identify footprints A single line track means the animal is diagonal walking. With a direct register, a fox certainly does this, but so do cats. Without knowing the gait or seeing the prints it's hard to say on here. Indirect register could be deer or dog.
*Edit. Ah, just seen that you said 'arrow shaped' - probably deer then.
