Gillian | Oh its not grand where I live, but we are at the end of a long drive (think rutted farm track really  ) and so its very quiet up here and I think thats one reason why we get so many 'visitors'.
Our hedgerows are about 10ft tall and surround most of the paddocks. I think they must be that tall from when this was originally a fruit farm to protect the trees from the wind. Seems they give good cover for the birds.
