Greetings from the Frozen North...

Hi,

Having been born and raised in deepest, darkest Northamptonshire - geographically as far from the sea as you can get in mainland Britain - we moved (as a family) a few years to a little place on Scotland's Kintyre peninsula - pretty much as close to the sea as you can get!

We live in a small fishing village called Carradale where I operate a business developing and supplying computer software and my wife is a teacher at a nearby secondary school.

With so much stunning scenery and wildlife right on our doorsteps it's no wonder that I take so many photographs, and we also have several webcams giving views towards the sea and mountains, and the action taking place at our bird feeders. We also have a small boat which we love to take out and watch for dolphins and porpoises.

Welcome to WAB from me down in deepest, darkest Essex .... although I do get up to the Scottish Highlands at least once each year.

Not sure about the frozen north at the moment .... the TV says it is more like the extremely wet and getting wetter north!
