Hi all,
I thought I'd better introduce myself. You can sum me up in one sentence, I suppose. I really can't get enough of wildlife. I love walking in nature reserves and just observing it. I like to learn and try to identify it. Practically I do volunteer conservation work, as well as encourage the wildlife in my garden. At the end of the day I love to read about it. Next to my bed is a whole heap of books, mostly on...well guess what.
I can't remember a time when I wasn't interested in birds and anything that lived under the surface of a pond. Even as a child I had a small natural history section amongst my books. These days I enjoy anything from tracking mammals to watching insects (butterflies esp.) to picking bits from yellow composites and examining them closely.
I aim to build a website to promote the wildlife in my area. But I'm not especially computer literate, so it will take me a while to do this. It will give me something to do in the cold winter months when things are a little quiet.
I love this website and hope that I can add to it as well as take from it, eventually. I am astounded by the amount of knowledge here, and it I intend to try and learn all I can.

Good luck with your website when you eventually have the time.
