Better late than never! Didn't notice this forum last week, too intent on discovering the names of all the wonderful wildlife I have in my garden, it's only 12' sq. but it still amazes me the amount of varied species that inhabit it.
This wonderful site has helped me identify the alien invasion of Harlequin Ladybird lava, and all sorts of other things since from crab spiders to sparrowhawks (a visitor who had me captivated for 5 minutes). It has also made me realise I'm not only one who loves taking photos and is fascinated with everything natural.
I'm a free-lance graphic designer in Exeter, always loved taking photos of plants, never had much luck with insects until I bought my Olympus with it's macro - excellent stuff! |

Yes, I hadn't realised how many varieties there were, a black tip to an abdomen is a whole new beast! I look at things differently, noticed the bumble bees on my lavender last couple of days and have noticed the differences, they were just all bumbles before!
