| | Another Hello from Shropshire! Hiya,
Found this site recently, looks really good Should be fun getting involved. I've only moved to Shropshire a few weeks ago from sunny Pembrokeshire (hence Preseli) but I'm looking forward to discovering the area and sharing what I find!

Hello (again! LOL )
Well, here I am, I'm 25 and I'm currently living in Shropshire with my partner in crime after moving up here to start a new job as a trainee consultant ecologist. I moved up from Pembrokeshire where I've spent most of my life bar a few years in and after university. I'm missing the coast a little now I'm here (you can't watch the seals in Shropshire!) but I'm hoping to get stuck into things now. As if having a day job doing wildlifey stuff isn't enough I've just signed up to be a volunteer Warden on a Wildlife Trust reserve!! Heehee ) I just like getting involved and seeing whats about and I believe that the more people who can do the same the better things will be!!
Everyone deserves to know whats outside their front door because there's so much pleasure that can be taken from it, even if its just watching the bluetits on your bird feeder!! (ermmm, there's a pheasant hanging outside mine at the moment, it commited suicide by running under my car and I didn't want to waste it!! )

Further to the above comments, Venus Pools just south of Shrewsbury was fantastic last year - lots of stuff apart from the birds;- Foxes at the feeders, plenty of colour with the butterflies and Damselflies flying around.
Also The Stiperstones is very atmospheric but you probably know all this by now. Enjoy the Shropshire summer
