Just a quick note to say Hi to you all.
I am a 50 year old 3D architectural modeller, living in Sandgate on the South Coast. I have just recently purchased a Nikon D50 camera and am hoping to get back into the photography hobby. Things have move on a lot since my days of darkrooms and trays of foul smelling liquids. I much prefer the digital era, give me Photoshop any day.
I have spent a while reading a few of your postings, and as always, it seems much easier to get answers / tips by chatting to fellow enthusiasts.
So keep up the good work

Hi Mike and welcome to the site.
Another 3D/CADman amongst us. We've almost got enough to make a football team. 
I thinking only last night how lucky it was that I never bought an entire darkroom and converted the loft like I'd planned to do just 3 or 4 years ago.
The only problem with digital is that I've now got thousands of photos and no time to sort through them or post them in the Gallery.
The East of England category in the Gallery is looking a bit thin on the ground - http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/ga...mages.php?c=28 - so if you're out and about it would be great to see some pics from around Kent etc.
