Hi there,
I am a newbie to this forum, however I have always loved God's creation and His creatures. In my time I have been a twitcher visiting many bird sites, I also like walking through the countryside or what is left of it. Favourite Counties are Buckinghamshire, Devonshire and Dorsetshire. My favourite creatures are Butterflies. |

Hi and welcome from very much another Bucks person (but living in London). I agree that Bucks is a wonderful and diverse place for wildlife. I find it a little bit funny where I am now that in the rare occasion that a Red Kite ventures into the skies over here it causes great excitement but for us they are two a penny.
I was in a hide this winter with a Bittern showing very well in front and as soon as the shout went up that a kite was overhead the hide emptied and left me alone watching!! In Bucks we had Badgers and foxes every night in the garden plus loads of different birds. Here we have mangy looking foxes but no badgers and millions of pigeons
Best of luck and enjoy the site, The people on here have been very helpful to me and very knowledgeable
