I suppose we all had to make a first post sometime, so here is mine.
I discovered this excellent site a couple of months ago when looking for news about the Badger cull which I am afraid looks as if it is about to take place in my area (including my land). Very sad.
When I explored the site, I was so amazed by the quality of so many of the photographs, that it re-kindled my love of photography. Also, thanks to this site, I discovered the Wetlands Centre at Llanelli and have met several members there who have helped me with my photography and made me appreciate more our wonderful wildlife and the environment. Here is one of my first photos taken with my newly acquired digital equipment.

Hi Martin and welcome to WAB, although we've already met a couple of times at the Wetlands I thought I'd offically welcome you to the site.
I like the shot of the two Greylag geese you posted and although I was at the next window to you in the hide I somehow missed this shot, so well done mate.
Hope to meet up with you again the next time your down the Wetlands, let me know when you plan to visit next and if I'm off work I'll try and get down there.

Hi MJM and welcome to WAB.
I'm having a fortnight's holiday in Wales later this year and for one of the weeks will be staying in a cottage close to the Preseli Hills.
Any advice you can offer as to the best places for wildlife watching/photography in that area would be most welcome.
That's a very nice Greylag flight shot by the way

Wayne - you might have missed the Greylag shot but as you say, you were in the next window and you took that excellent Shelduck shot which I didn't see. There certainly are many photo opportunities at the Wetlands.
Jeff - Preseli is a lovely, peaceful and unspoiled area and I am sure you will enjoy your stay (weather permitting!). I will send you some details of good locations.

Preseli Hills, now there's an area on my walking to do list. Hopefully it will be this summer.
