| | | Hi all Hi there, well, we've been members for a couple of weeks now, and we thought its about time we said hello! We are "mushroom fanatics" our names are Paul and Leah, whilst "corrie's" on, its Paul who's writting this, and with some other rubbish on tv for a few weeks, it might be me who keeps looking at this great site. I must just say that Leah is the expert on fungi, I only got into mushrooms about 6 years ago, when we got together, untill then I knew nothing about fungi, apart from shop ones, and after getting "dragged kicking and screaming" down the woods a few times, I'm hooked, I never looked at the ground, when I used to take my dog for a walk, I do now, I never knew what vibrant colours were growing under my feet, and now its the other way round, always looking at the ground, and then walking through some poor spiders hard work, and I've ruined his home! We will get round to posting some pics on the fungi Gallery, although they are no way near the quailty of the pics that are on there, when we find out how to do it, I take slide photos, I've got a scanner, but we're running a old "photoshop" programe, so, maybe thats the proplem, or its me,(more than likely!)
Anyway, I gotta go, the cat needs feeding, again! |

As you live in Leighton Buzzard I expect you go looking for Fungi in the woods about Brickhill & Woburn - I remember seeing lots of interesting species there in the past.

| | | Re: Hi all Hi Aaron, its good to be aboard, your'e right, we have a large choice of woods around here, we moved up here from Uxbridge, West London, about 5 years ago, as a lorry driver, I knew the area very well, and I knew some of the woods up here, and it was one reason for moving up here, we've also started to walk around Ashridge woods, If your up this way, well worth a look, not only for the fungi, you also got loads a Sika deer walking about. |
