| | | Hello form Essex Hello!
I am from Essex and I love all things Essex including the...... Nature!
We are incredibly lucky in Essex to have some of the oldest patches of woodland in the country, some of the rarest habitats along our river banks (saltmarsh) and some incredible wild places. Does anybody love Wild Essex as much as me?
Which bit is your favourite?

| | | Re: Hello form Essex Hi Paulie and welcome . My mother lived in South Woodham Ferrers until a few years ago. On my visits I used to walk on the north bank of the River Crouch. I think I got as far as Holliwell Point but she moved before I had the chance to explore the deserted looking section of coast / estuary beyond it. I hope that path is still there and hasn't been turned into one of these ghastly cycle tracks. |

I'm an essex boy from birth but moved a few years ago. Started my wildlife interests while playing in fields and waste ground near where i lived and on Rainham marshes. The waste ground is now hornchurch country park. Spent my latter teenage years at visiting places like bradwell bird obs, abberton reservoir etc.. The memories are flooding back.
Have a great time on WAB.
