hi all. i've just found this fabulous site and thought i'd join up. i'm very keen with my camera, and i'll shoot almost anything that moves...lol

Welcome. I'd guess that the black tubular specimen is the pupa of some fly ... perhaps you could write a separate mail about it - it may get overlooked here. Good luck, Paul M

many thanks for the warm welcome............

the dark specemin, is that colour due to it being old.. it was golden coloured,,, identified as the hoverfly.........
