| | | I have been away for a few weeks Hi guys & gals
I have been out to South Africa for three weeks and have spent the last week editing photos, updating my data base and starting a trip report with photos on my web site.
We saw so much (the count is probably 360 birds of which 278 were lifers for me) that there is no way I could do a detailed trip report. It would be too boringly long so I will summarise it as best as I can. So far I have done a pageful of Animal photos plus a pageful dealing with birds seen on Nov 9th & 10th. If anyone is interested just go to trip reports on my web site and click onto South Africa Nov 9th to 29th.
Having said all that is there anything I have missed on WAB that I should know about. I know the weather has been bad (it was for the most part the same in South Africa) but is there anything else that would interest me.
It's sad that I had to leave South Africa but at least I have some posts to read on WAB.

Great photos there, John. Wow, 360 species, you must be pleased! It's a very interesting site, I was on there the other day.
Take care, Jason |

I'm just about over it now but it was a bit intense whilst we were over there. Not too much rest in the day as we were on the go all the time but in the end we had some fantastic moments. Possibly the best was when a Male Lion (photo on the web site) walked just in front of the car and stayed close for about ten minutes and also when a White Rhino stood in the middle of the road and starred us down.
I have got hundreds of photos to go through and will add the finished ones to the web site over the next couple of weeks.

| | | Re: I have been away for a few weeks That catfish was still alive and all the Croc did was to stay where it was for ages just holding it in that position. Every now and again the Catfish would squirm. It was still like that when we eventually left.
I still have 18 days of photos to place on my site. They are all edited but I don't want to put them on all in one go. There would be too many to digest all in one go. I will place some more on towards the weekend.
