| | | Frustration or what!!! Hi, I am an elderly new member struggling with the demands of this web site but undetered I have ploughed on and managed to upload images to My Library and even to The Gallery. Progress.
However I today try and reupload some images which yesterday were refused as being to small so having resized them I am now told I have exceeded my daily upload allowance when I have not uploaded anything.
Can someone please help a frustrated new member who has a brick in hand about to launch it at the computer screen!!
Thanks for any help you can give but please keep any advice very simple.
To date I have been extremely impressed by the help I have been given when seeking help with identifcation of insects so many thanks.. |

| | | Re: Frustration or what!!! Sometimes clicking on whatever you have to do to REFRESH your screen can help as it brings everything up-to-date. I find sometimes it thinks I'm not logged in when I am and if I refresh (On Internet Explorer it is a smallicon with up and down pointing arrows.
PS I am usually tempted to hurl mine out of the window!!!

Hope this helps. |

PS I am usually tempted to hurl mine out of the window!!! | What a comfort to know I am not alone when tempted to throw the computer out or a brick through the screen. I have just come in from awalk designed to calm me down.
The only REFRESH I can see when the web site is open using Internet Explorer is when I click on VIEW and from the drop down menu I can then see REFRESH otherwise the little arrow to which you refer eludes me.
Thank you so much for your response. Will try uploading again and try what you suggest. |

Hope this helps. | Hi Morph thank you for your information and maybe that could be the reason so after attempting to do what the previous response suggested and should that fail I will try uploading later this evening.
Blimey it's like climbing Everest in vest!!
Why is the site so slow and complicated it cannot just be me who has noticed this but my lack of experience with computers may heighten my frustration. |

This is where my REFRESH is (red circle) - Possibly differs depending on your ISP. Try your HELP you might find it that way. This only might help
RE your comments about being an elderly - I see people of my age in the papers described as 'elderly' - and I think "Am I - Gosh, fancy that"
What about Mrs Brian - if she's the photographer she ought to have been included, like Brian&Mrs

| | | Re: Frustration or what!!! Thank you all for humerous yet helpful comments . I am happy to report that I have managed to upload some of my wife's photographs.
It would appear that the problem was as suggseted i.e. more to do with timing than REFRESH.
All went well this time.
I do not claim any credit at all for the photos as they are all taken by my wife I simply upload them as she has even less time than I do to try, anyway she is out with the camera looking for subjects. We might be old but we are still mobile yet we sometimes say to each other when we see other old poeple "Do we look like that!!! The answer is YES. The mirror does not lie. |

| | | Re: Frustration or what!!! Hi Brian,
I saw in one of your other posts that you are struggling to get images into the Gallery, and that you are using Paintshop to resize your images. (I am assuming you are referring to Paintshop Pro).
As I am using paintshop Pro, I have created an image showing all the details you will need in order to be able to resize your photos to ensure compliance with WAB's Gallery requirements. Hope you find it useful.
Regards,
Mike. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
