KCC, Hi,
I like the work you are doing at the Red River, very interesting.
I live in Falmouth, work in Truro for the Council (the other one).
Didn't get any joy with the stags on Exmoor, had to go to Lambriggan deer farm this week to see theirs. Unfortunately no CF card in the camera (doh!)

Sorry I missed your original post, I spend as much time as possible on Exmoor and deer stalking is my passion, next time you go I'll recommend the best places.
Good to see the Janners on board,  if we keep this up we'll be able to have a West Country get-together.

Hi Chunky,
No probs, we will definitely be back, although we may not stay in Exford next time.
I didn't realise it was such a hotbed of hunting still.
Lovely part of the world and distinctly different from our other 2 regional moors.

You have to be very carefull what you say, there's really bad feelings boiling away beneath the facade, the hunting issue is still raw!
You're right about the moors, Exmoor seems more temperate, whereas Dartmoor and Bodmin-moor seem more "granity"
All three have their own charm and they give us here in N. Devon great shelter from the winter weather.

May i ask how you heard about the KCC work on the Red River, was it through my work at County Cycleau or KCC website, just a bit of market research? |
