And it's hello from me

I came to this site on recommendation from John.

I have been birdwatching for around 20 years, although I am by no means an expert, and enjoy all aspects of nature and the countryside.

I take photos of birds, and other subjects, using my Canon 10D, and sometimes get a good shot. I will try and upload some to the Gallery soon.

I am married and live in a village near Barnsley in South Yorkshire, and work at an environmental consultancy in Sheffield where I am mainly office-based dealing with the contact database and computer systems. I also help organise and run various events with an environmental theme.

I will be in Norfolk this weekend, along with John and a few other people, so hope to get some good birding in and take some more photos.

Interesting to read your 'Hello' and naturalist interests Diane. Thanks for your input to date - hope you've had a good time in Norfolk. I'm quite partial to Northreps, Cromer, Wells-Next-The-Sea etc. myself.

We did have a good weekend in Norfolk. John is still down there, probably finding lots of birds.

I love the north Norfolk coast, although we used to live down the east coast near Lowestoft. Holt is my favourite place, if only because they have a wonderful tearoom called The Owl, which of course we visited while we were there!
