| | | painted ladies I've heard and read alot about the invasion of painted lady butterflies to Britain. I live in Leicestershire and we haven't seen one yet.
So what is happening? Are they just invading certain parts? Can anyone tell me, please? I was so looking forward to seeing them

| | | Re: painted ladies Interesting question - I heard from a friend in Lincolnshire that he had yet to see one in his neck of the woods, too.
Those still knocking around the IoW are looking a bit frayed and faded now. I'm wondering where the Clouded Yellows are - I'm sure they should be around by now,

The same thing has happened here, i hadn't seen a one until Sunday, they're all generally flying in a N'erly direction and it might be a bit hit and miss so I think we're just unlucky. |

There are quite a lot down my end in Kent but not as colourful as I usualy see them, they are a bit drab, I see round about 8 in the garden quite often
