| | | G,day all G,day cobbers,
Just like to say hi from Australia, but I hope to move to the UK within the year for a sea change. I must say this forum looks fantastic and I will probably be spending a lot of time in the Astronomy section. It is great to see the passion that the British have for their environment and wildlife , something that has sadly waned in Australia since 911.
cheers, mick |

| | | Re: G,day all Welcome Mick from the land where you can practically pick up any creepy crawly wriggly thing and it not be a threat to your life.
The downside is that we also get wet and cold quite a lot!

Nightshade, I am enjoying a King brown (800ml bottle of beer) at the moment , but lamentably it is too overcast to see any stars.
Mr Mag00, I was born in Sydney but both my parents are Pom's and I lived in London as a kid so I consider myself half Pom Australia was quite a green country before 911, but it is my theory that nowadays the average Aussie is more concerned with material gain and media trivia than our awsome countryside. But that is not to say there isnt dedicated people who love and nurture our environment, the Greens have 4 senators in our parlianment.
ogwen, Our bizarre constellations are awesome. From where I live (-32 degrees south) I can see every first magnitude star as well as the magnellanic clouds and Omega centauri. If I move to the UK i will miss the southern sky.
ollie, G'day
captain kev, you have Adders in the UK? they are poisonous Sydney gets more rain than London, fact. |

And we get rain followed by snow followed by frosts, followed by large Gas and clothing bills.
