| | | Re: Hello From Beautiful Busy Bright Barrowboy from Brighton Hi Ian, welcome to WAB Funnily enough, my niece has just finished her foundation degree in countryside management at Plumpton (probably where you are, but you obviously don't have to say!) .. she doesn't tell me much about it though, so I'm not really going to be much more help to you, but I could ask her if there was anything specific? Best of luck, anyway

That would be fantastic, and yes its at Plumpton so if there is anyone who is enrolling in September this year let me know, can you ask your neice what the timetable is as you can imagine I am looking for a partime job that will fit round my study times, I understand this may change from term to term.
What are the books that I would need to buy, are there any additional activities which I am able to volunteer for at Plumpton with it being such a large working farm as well.
If your neice wants to pass to you any info that would be great and thank you for your help.
Regards
Ian

Looking out of my window I can see the sea in the distance and it slooks like the day is going to be glorious so me and the other half are heading out onto the sea front to stroll a far as the eye can see.
Have a great day.
Regards
Ian

I have been down to my local RSPB and I have had a good chat with the guys there and because of my experience managing coporate contract etc etc which I will not bore you all with the details.
I have now joined the team of volunteers so I am starting Monday to get some training, so I would like to say a big Brighton thank you to Metalfish for sending me the links they have been very helpful. , I will let you all know how it is coming a long.

Will try and find out from my neice (although not hopeful of a response as I'm just *one* of her 290 FB friends ). Say hello to Brighton for me, really miss not being able to get down there easily (although having said that, hope to be going down that way in a couple of weeks time, can't wait!)

| | | Re: Hello From Beautiful Busy Bright Barrowboy from Brighton Thank you, it was super yesterday, we had a great day, Kasia and I caught the bus to Rottingdean had a walk around Rudyard Kiplings garden, not massive, however a lovely garden with super plants and herbs, then we made are way to the sea front passing a lovely pond, there was types of Dragon flies that I have never seen before.
We walked on the sea front taking in some great views of the cliffs, then we took a breather and quenched are thirst for a couple of hours, as you do, , then we made our way home, we had spent the 7 hours walking so you can imagine a little dinner and we where certainly ready for the land of Nod.
Its my first day of Volunteering so here we go, chow for now, .

| | | Re: Hello From Beautiful Busy Bright Barrowboy from Brighton Sounds like you had a lovely day
Well, I've learned something there .. I was thinking, Kipling's place is up at Burwash .. didn't know there was also one at Rottingdean! Also interesting that it has connections with the Burne-Jones's. Thanks, Ian .. fascinating!
Let us know how it goes today, good luck.

Let us know how it went, I am sure there'll be many keen to hear all about it as some more of us here are looking into voluntary work possibilities.
