Also been to Gigrin, was just fantastic watching so many kites come to feed there .. I wish I had had a decent camera at the time! Nevermind, we've quite a few kites around this area now, although not so close as to get a decent shot! Absolutely love kites, the way they fly | Hi Cutecoot
Its great to see the kites making a comeback its hard to believe that many years ago they used to scavenge in the bins in london. The great thing about gigrin is there are so many other local places to see elan valley an the Dams its a great day out and lets not forget that little cafe just before Rhayader that does a great full English Breakfast.

| | Re: Hi Everyone I am New Hello, and thanks for sharing the pics it looks brilliant, My big regret in life is not traveling i have reached the age of sixty eight without having had holidays apart from a couple of visits to the sea never been abroad on holiday, this as been mainly due to the fact that we have had to many pets at any one time to leave alone, having said this i drove a lorry part time for three years and drove up and down the country a bit i was amazed at the diversity of the place, I did have a craze for a motor home once but my wife as been at home far to long and that was that, any way we all go threw life in different ways and we have had experiences that many people will never have with both wild and domestic animals and birds, wales looks good i should imagine Ireland is a lovely place and i would have liked to have traveled around there, These forums are good for making contact with complete strangers and also people that you would never meet it is nice just to jabber on, bye, aland. |

| | | Re: Hi Everyone I am New Hi Steve, don't give up on posting photos yet!
Firstly, mine above were taken with an old pocket film camera, the (fairly poor quality!) prints of which I only recently scanned in - I was able to tweek them with some photo editing software to then make them half decent pix!
Secondly, uploading photos on here seems a bit complicated to start off with, I didn't have a clue how to do it when I first joined, but its not too bad once you get the hang of it! Will PM you with info on 'how to'

| | Re: Hi Everyone I am New Hi stev, I would not worry to much about problems uploading pics i think we all struggle at first i placed some in the Gallery and could not transfer them to my threads and someone else got fed up waiting and did it for me, i love pc,s but we all seem to come up against a brick wall some times, About camera,s it is not always possible to be able to afford the best especially if you have a young family or are on a lower income this is the same with a lot of things in life, there are people that will always insist that the best is the only way, but it is not true, you will still enjoy some of the lower cost things, I have two sons in their late forty's that are obsessed in that way, silly blokes, Any way keep up the pics, I should send some more of our fox cubs they are growing up now, my wife sits and waits out side our straw shed every night just before dusk they know her but are very wary of me i am glad, as they have to keep away from people really, bye aland. |

aland why dont you try coach day trips where I live here they do some really nice days out maybe they do where you live. | Mebbes the file was too big It has to be less than 1MB and 1600x1600 pixels max ok If you have microsoft picture manager they can be easily reduced in there and then just upload ok! If not there are many other free downloads to resize pics like Irfanview etc. - all easy to use once you get the hang lol! Try again eh!
Oh and just jabber on about birds of prey.... coz we all love them here! Are you watching the live web-cam at Lorton Meadows atm? http://www.dorsetwildlife.co.uk/kestrelcam.html I've been watching avidly for 2 weeks now - great stuff!!!
