| | | Help! re upload pics. Hi, I am left a little confused how the uploads of pics works,I have uploaded some pics, but not sure how to access them?, I assumed they would go to my Gallery but I don't something wrong somewhere. I traced back my steps and it looks like I have uploaded then to 'image libary'. Please could someone tell me how to find them,
Also how do I create my own Gallery and move them to that?. Ive made a mistake somewhere and some of my pictures are floating somewhere withing the forum.
Many thanks |

| | | Re: Help! re upload pics. Afternoon!
I've spent 10mins looking through the Archive to no avail; the last page in the process should have taken you to your images... what category did you upload them to? If not, try again please! |

| | | Re: Help! re upload pics. Hi Jason,
This is what I had did, clicked Gallery at tool bar, selected upload on menu bar, then selected upload to image library' By default it said unidentified in category ( i did not realised there was a pull down menu to select category )
I looked through recent photos couldnt see them either so im not sure where they uploaded to, when I traced back steps I see there is a note that says I have 3 files qued? |

| | | Re: Help! re upload pics. Well, on the upload page near the bottom you should see a line to the left of a checkbox, saying ' Skip upload and process the files already in your upload directory'. Click the box and then the grey button below it, that says ' Upload/Submit'.
The next page you see will have your photos... then follow the instructions.
Good luck |

| | | Re: Help! re upload pics. Hi IbKaz,
All the info you need is on this thread.
How to get photo's from the Image Library or Gallery into your posts is near the end of the thread, but it would be beneficial to read all of it to avoid confusion. http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/fo...otos-info.html
Just one thing to point out, since writing the thread, the Gallery tab has moved from below the WAB logo header, to above it.

| | | Re: Help! re upload pics. I see the 'Skip upload and process the files already in your upload directory'. Option now.... I also see where I have gone wrong, by choosing upload to image library instead of Gallery.
I guess it ok just to leave the upload directory with the 3 files. and start over again to add to my Gallery (after reading the link you have given me lancashire lad .
I've been to hasty in 'happy clicking' trying do this without reading up properly.
I appreciate you help TY |

| | | Re: Help! re upload pics. There won't be any problem if you leave the photo's already uploaded to Image Library, and re-upload the same ones to the Gallery.
Just bear in mind that the Gallery requires the parameters outlined in the Upload Info thread to be met exactly, or your images either won't upload properly, or they will be deleted by the Gallery Editors. (Ensure that you meet image size requirements and have the correct Capital letters on any Latin names etc. etc.).
Also, you can only put five pics. into the Gallery in any 24Hr. period.

| | | Re: Help! re upload pics. Do you wish to request an identification of the photo's subject? If yes, choose Image Archive.
Are they high-quality photos of individual species? If yes, choose Gallery. |

| | | Re: Help! re upload pics. Thank you very much, I will have to resize some of the photos, and clearly name them before uploading, again this all in hast into wanting to show the pictures of my pond and in excitment of being a new member I hadn't taken the time to read up properly.
However I think I still would have needed some guidance, and the link given was helpful.
many thanks
