| | | hello, i'm new here.... Hello everyone and thanks for letting me on board.
I have stumbled across the website tonight and felt I had to join in.
Looking forward to sharing experiences and thoughts with you all.
I live right on the doorstep a country park and am really looking forward to the next few weeks.
The greenery is really coming through, the birds are finding their voices again (especially in the mornings) and the sun is beginning to spread her magic through the boughs, encouraging the bluebells to push up.
Hartshill Hayes is a truly beautiful spot and I am always in awe of her varied ingredients, but spring is best without doubt.
I have seen quite alot of this country down the years, but `The Hayes' really does it for me.
Is anyone else lucky enough to love where they live more than anywhere else they have been? |

| | | Re: hello, i'm new here.... Hello Hedge, I'd love to share it with you, but I'm afraid I do not own a digital camera . There is a website I have found called Pictures of England which shows some really nice ones, but to be honest I don't think they do it full justice (but I am biased).
Although I have lived here for years, I have hardly any pictures.
I have always felt they would prevent me from going to have another look if they were on hand in the house. |

| | | Re: hello, i'm new here.... Hi Jim and welcome! I love the Peak District with all it's contrasting scenery and huge variety of walking opportunities......but I guess there are other parts of the country I could grow to love just as much!
It's a big world out there and there's sooo much I've yet to see
