My turn at the mic I guess.

I'm late 30's, self-employed CGI artist. I worked in the computer games industry for 18 years as a 2D/3D artist with a brief break working in a pro E6 lab when I was about 20.

These days most of my work is designing symbols and documents in accessible format for people with learning difficulties. From time to time I get asked to do something a bit different, normally 3D work of some sort as I've been a beta tester for Realsoft 3D for more than 10 years now.

PXL8 is a shortened version of pixelate chosen for a domain name a few years back which I wanted to be short and non-specific.

I got back into photography in the summer when, on a whim, I bought my 300D whilst visiting family in Venice. I started taking shots of the creatures in and around my garden pond and my wildlife interest grew from there, getting good shots meant I had to learn about what I was shooting and ended up here as a result...
