| | | Hello from Birmingham! Hello from Birmingham!
This looks like a good place to visit in my quest to identify lots of trees
Actually I like all kinds of wildlife, it's just that trees are a lot easier to spot, especially here in Birmingham.
I like how in the Terms and Conditions I'm actually told I have to use emoticons to show my expression. Well, if I must... |

| I'm in Selly Park, it's between Selly Oak and Stirchley / Kings Heath.
South of the centre of Brum.
I'm right near the River Rea, which is more of a stream really... but there's a path alongside it that goes on for miles and you get kingfishers and stuff, and some woodland nearby with woodpeckers. So it's not as bad as you'd expect, being in Birmingham and all. I think I identified 6 different species of willow on a walk the other day, but I'm not entirely sure of the difference between white willow and crack willow, especially when the leaves aren't out. |
