Hi folks

About me:

I'm a Ranger for an urban fringe project in East Anglia, used to work in IT way back, should be getting my Bat licence soon, am finding that the long walks that I used to enjoy are now getting shorter because of all the Camera gear that I've recently started lugging around, and am wondering if the rain here at the moment will do anything to help my struggling sweetcorn out in the garden, or the very dry "wet meadow" site that we got declared as an LNR not so long ago.

Nice to meet you

Seems to me if you want to get into photography you are taking up weight training aswell.
The ID books I carry on walks can get heavy enough!

Hi Natterjack, a warm welcome from me also, our walks are just as long, but very much slower, and with a greated recovery rate Enjoy

Re: Hi folks

Thanks for the welcome everybody

I think that my most extreme camera walk so far, when I had the larger version of the portable ID library, a new pair of binoculars and the camera gear, covered a pitiful 2 miles in just over 8 hours

No particularly outstanding photos or sightings either.

Re: Hi folks

Hi Natterjack, a very warm welcome. I bet during that slow walk you learned what was about, even if it wasn't unusual. Anyway you are now among friendly, like minded people so pull up a chair and enjoy.
