| | | Another hello from somerset Just a message to say hi from Somerset.
I am looking for inspiration in wildlife photography. I have a Fuji s8000fd as sadly i can not afford and SLR (if i did it would be very bottom of the range) which i have been advised against getting 'cos lens would be very basic.
You all have such amazing pics and i soon hope mine are half as good as yours!
Wendy

Don't let your lack of expensive kit prevent you from posting pics here. There's many a brilliant photo been taken on an inexpensive camera.
(If you are considering camera options have a quick look at these threads). http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/fo...endations.html Are there any Finepix S100FS users here?
They might give you some ideas.
Regards
Mike. EDIT - Just noticed from another thread that you've got a Fuji Finepix S8000FD. - Nothing wrong with that - It's a great camera with a pretty good specification. If you get the best from it, you'll not go far wrong.

I've not got a digital SLR either for similar reasons to you, but also because I'm no longer wanting to carry around a heavier camera and extra equipment! Feel free to check out my images on here, I've not put anything in the Gallery yet, but I'm quite happy with what I get from my Canon PowerShot A650. |

I too only have a small compact camera (Vivitar 4 mp) as it's fits nicely in a pocket when I'm carrying scope, bins etc.
I take mainly landscapes (you can see some in my profile if you click on my name) and they've been accepted onto the Gallery.
I'm sure your pics will be lovely to see. |

Welcome to WAB. I think there are quite a few of us that have the S8000. I'm still getting used to mine even though I've had it since the spring.
Enjoy this great site and start posting
