| | A few format questions. (1) Is it possible to remove the sending of emails to me when someone updates a message/thread? (I like to "go see" what people have said).
(2) I do not seem to be able to add smilies or embolden/underline or italicize my threads, why?
(3) Where do I go to see line drawings of mammal footprints? Seen a strange one in the garden and it aint in any of my books! Cheers in advance, Tony. |

| | | Re: A few format questions. Hi Tony O-P,
1 - (after logging in) - click on the control (mouse) tab at the top of the page, then click on edit options in the settings and options section in left hand column. Then click on the drop down box in the default thread subscription mode, and select do not subscribe. You won't then be sent any more e-mails when people add to your threads/posts. It might help to check if all the other options are set to your preferences whilst on this page.
2 - When you start a thread, or post a reply, there is a toolbar above the message box which has all the available formatting options bold, underline, font, etc. The smilies are on the right hand side and are just clicked on to add them to your message.
3 - Can't help you there, I've never seen this facility on WAB, but someone might be able to point you in the right direction.
Regards
Mike. |

| | | Re: A few format questions. Hi Tony, when you are typing a reply to a post click on the 'Go advanced' button below the reply box and the smilies are in there. I only discovered this today! It's got everything in there that you are looking for

The quick reply option is usually used when you don't need any special formatting.

| | Re: A few format questions. Tony, if you could take a photo of the mamal print, or trace around it on tracing paper then take a pic , give dimensions and post it on the mamal forum, then you stand a good chance someone will be able to ID it for you,
Try that, it's a good introduction for you,

It's just that if you choose to reply using the quick reply option, no smilies at all are available unless you "Go Advanced" - but going advanced just takes you to the same screen as replying using the blue "Post Reply" button.

| | | Re: A few format questions. It will take some unravveling, but thanks to you all. I cannot see a "Go advanced" button and the "quick reply to this message" doesn't work! Cheers, Tony. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
