Hello everyone,
I'm after some clever person to tell me what sort of butterfly i spotted in my garden today.I did'nt get a picture unfortunately but it was fairly large,reddish brown but the unusual thing about it was that it had two feathery plumes coming from the top of it's wings.I have never seen one before so any clues from you guys and galls? |

Sounds like it may be an escapee foreign butterfly bred by an enthusiast.

I think there is something about our garden,last week i found what i think was a hawkshead moth,absolutely huge.
p.s i live in the Burton-On-Trent area. |

Hi Welcome to the wab
Your butterly could be a moth of some sort, some of them have feathery plume like antennae
