Hello to all here

I am glad that I have found this site. I have already posted pictures of two of the most unusual things that I have seen: a Hummingbird Hawl Moth (pictures in gallery) and a Wasp Spider (Submitted, but not in gallery). How long does it take for pictures to be approved and displayed?

Hello Bendog. Welcome to WAB. Your piccys can take a couple of days to appear. If you want to show them in a thread now. Re-put them in Forum Images and copy/paste the BB code.

Re: Hello to all here

I know Watt Tyler Park. Funny story - I used to work in a school for children with physical and/or learning difficulties. After a visit with a group of them, back at school, one of them asked: "How do you spell rottweiler?" When asked "Why?". His reply: "We have just been to Rottweiler Park"!

Hi bendog, a warm welcome to WAB from me. Glad to see you are already posting in the gallery.
In reply to how long does it take for pictures to be approved it depends on several things. Firstly and most importantly are the photos titled correctly with common and scientific name. If they are it's a big help to the gallery editors. That's not saying you can't upload them if you don't know the scientific name, it just means the gallery editors have to look it up and this takes time. Also it depends if there is a gallery editor available for the gallery your image needs to go in. Not all gallery editors upload to every gallery, most have their own specialist fields. It also depends on how many images are being posted and how many editors are onlne.
The guidelines for posting images in the gallery can be viewed via the link I have given below. Enjoy the site and I look forward to seeing more of your images and forum posts.
Roger
