| | | Hi!! Well I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks....I see several people I know some in reality and others in virtual reality!!
I've joined to learn more about Butterflies and Dragons....
I have admired them but I really got into Butterflies on a trip to Spain in May...its the ID that I'm having fun with!! well fun....not really its a challenge...as for pix well they are faster than birds and I have enough hassle with taking photo's of birds!!
I am off to the Highlands of Scotland next week and I will be exploring which Butterflies and Dragonflies/ Damsels I might come across. Any help re where to look would be good.
Good to see you here Mrs Fish!!

| | | Re: Hi!! Hello Eagle, a warm welcome to WAB. Cannot help about where in Scotland to see Butterflies and Dragonflies but no doubt somebody will be able to point you in the right direction. Same with ID's of your pictures, there are experts here who are very rarely beaten. Enjoy your trip to Scotland.

As for places in Scotland to see Dragons try Loch Barean by Colvend, Loch Dubh, the RSPB reserve at Abernethy, Loch Maree, Glen Affric (park for Coire Loch). As you might tell these places are spread around abit!

A warm welcome to WAB.
I envy your pending trip to the Scottish Highlands even though I have only recently returned from 2 weeks up there myself.
Bridge of Grudie and Beinn Eighe in the Loch Maree area of Wester Ross are excellent for dragonflies in particular.
