Hi All at WAB
Hi All at WAB

After recently being made redundant I have been busy trying to find a job so have not had much time to go birding or watch any to do with nature, I now have a short contract job working in Hamble near Southampton so hopefully it is back in the groove I spend my lunch time sitting on the edge of southampton water just south of Royal Victoria Country Park if any one can let me have any good sites in the Southampton area for birding I would be gratefull during the week I am based in Bitterne So hopefully I will be posting and getting infolved

Welcome to WAB from me too.

Southampton is not an area I am too familiar with but you do have the New Forest on your doorstep according to my atlas. Now that must have some good wildlife watching areas in it.

Maybe someone else here will give you some more precise recommendations.

Thanks everyone

I spend a lot of time in the new forest know it very well what I am looking for are areas to visit in the evenings as I am working long hours found a few spots along the river itchen
