When you get it sorted you will love your pond..Its just a pain in the butt when it could have been avoided after all the trouble you went to.. |

They (Downtown) should not say anything if they are not certain.. but i shall be calling in for a free bag of aquatic stuff for my trouble. To be fair to the dept, the guy inparticular was just standing in.
I'm glad i've cleaned it though, it's chrystal now. And i'll wash all that pea gravel and place on top of the 'aquatic compost or kitty litter' whichevert is best.. |

I do hope its a joke... you don't want to go through that again..
Dont forget you need about 10 bunches of Oxygenators I use Elodea Canadensis (Canadian Pondweed) the newts lay eggs on it..although it says it invasive I have not found this the case..I just rake the top with the garden rake when it gets a bit overgrown...
Here are some pond plants..
Under no circumstances put Floating pennywort any where near your pond.. Merebrook Pond Plants :: Welcome |

| | | Re: Hi members.. Oh! I thought it worked as a substitute for aquatic compost ?? And good in it's own right (unlike the cats it's meant for!).
I may have read wrongly though (not for the first time!)
Or shall i just go down to an old pond and pinch some bottom from there ? What's best for the bottom ???
I'll look into the canadian pond weed too, currently i have 4 plants in there but ignorantly i havn't a clue what they are, but soon will i'll check the reciept. |
