Now I'm a little more familiar with the site, more comfortable with you all and viewing more areas maybe I should say more about myself.
I'm Nottinghamshire based with a camera that knows more about photography then I do! I'm an 'Oh look at that CLICK' person rather then a technical photographer. I sit all day at work 'chomping numbers', glancing up from time to time to watch the magpies in the car park. So it comes as no surprise that my sightings are recorded on spreadsheet...with hyperlinks to photos.
I'm trying to be more patient with my bird watching but excitement get the better of me as I'm new to this; so for every picture you see I have taken 20 blurry shots to get it. You should see my Kingfisher shots... 
Recently (much to my shame, and even more so after the comments of another photographer) had rushed down an embankment with anticipation. Resulting in me loosing my footing and nearly ended up knee deep in water with my camera held high, and the sight of many a Lapwing in flight scared by my stumbling. Not good. 
I have a zoom lens that has a love/hate relationship with my camera body which often results in a cry of ERROR.
Yet I can not express how much interest, enjoyment, relaxation and contentment I feel whilst perusing this pastime.
Thank you to the Gallery moderators patience, as they must be sick of me uploading photos incorrectly.
Oh and somedays I say nothing and somedays I waffle on.
You have been warn tWITCH is a bit odd.

Late hello, although you joined before I came back, so not sure who should be welcoming who.
Anyway, I wanted to join this thread just to ask - I have to ask - did you have Caps Lock in when you chose your user ID, or am I just too dense to get the subtlety of your choice. Inevitably the latter, but as someone else said, it is eyecatching and reminds me of one of my more common keyboard errors.
