| | | Any help - All natural frogs dying.. :-( Hi there, im hoping someone can help me here.
I've got a few ponds, and we always get loads of natural frogs come for a dip and to lay their spawn.
Over the last 2 weeks, i've had 4 frogs die. We had one die, so I buried him. Only to find when I came home that some cat/fox had dug up to poor sod. Not only that, but not far away on the grass was another one. Same viewable symptoms.
Next day I came home, only to find yet another frog dead. Same problem.
We've had no frogs since. But the other day, I saw one sitting in the stream.
I went outside last night, only to find what looks like that poor froggie lying also dead.
WE've not put anything down, the only thing we've done recently is remove a plant from one of the ponds, and i've jetsprayed my patio clean.
I've heard something about a frog death going around. Can anyone help?
Frogs seems to be coughing out blood from their mouths, so im sure its an illness and not simply down to cats. We've never had problems before, and gone down from about 8-10 frogs per night to 0
This is in North west Kent. |

| | | Re: Any help - All natural frogs dying.. :-( Daimo - I agree with with big bill - ask in a more specialised forum - I think there is a waterlife one, and one dealing with amphibians.
Unfortunately, I have an awful feeling that there may be nothing you can do about there poor creatures, but I hope I'm wrong. |
