| | Hello to all of you Hi, I have just registered and have let myself in to show you all who I am. I am a complete amateur who has an avid interest in wildlife, birds in particular, and who has started to take a more active role in watching wildlife in the garden and at some of the North Kent Reserves.
I found the site when searching for info on Blackberry Woods campsite as we have booked 3 days there in August. My OH also joins me in my jaunts, and we can often be seen at Cliffe Pools spotting birds with our small, not powerful enough bins .
As a busy full time Uni student currently doing midwifery, time is short, so I do not post very much - only if a thread is relevant to me - but that is not me being miserable, just too busy with flipping essays, however, I tend to check forums once every couple of days, just to keep on top of the latest news.
Oh well, that's me then. I look forward to becoming more active over the holidays.

I'm sure you will fit in very well here - your CV sounds like the job spec for the WAB forums, as that's what we all are here - enthusiastic amateurs -with a few exceptions; there are a few professional wildlife people here of course, but we tolerate them ...
Happy wildlife watching!!

A warm welcome to WAB.
I live just over the other side from you in Essex. There are also a few Kent WABers here too and no doubt they will drop by and say hello.
Hopefully your academic studies will not get in the way of you enjoying WAB .
You must get your priorities right .

You will have a great time at blackberry wood, don't forget to take some fire wood with you, along with some sausages and marshmallows for toasting mmmmmmmm.
I stayed there a few months ago and it is gorgeous.................Jon |
