just found this great site while trying to deal with a rat problem.
i am of the same ilk as those who wish to let live let live. sadly the problem has escalated an we are seeing lots of the blighters even during the day. Thankfully they seem to be happy in the garden which is fairly large. )(250ft x 60ft). Fascinating as they are to watch my concern is that they might venture into the house. Anyway i am trying to find a good thread to get me going so maybe see you there.  |

Hi sage and onion and welcome to WAB! Btw, what made you choose that handle? Was it a spur of the moment thing or something that came to you whilst cooking/eating Sunday roast?
You need start no other thread to get you going, you are talking about rats; rats and cats are guaranteed to get the convo flowing here (don't let me down, folks!  )
Yup, you just have to admire rats, being highly successful and facinating creatures - but if they should threaten me or mine (animals included) I would have to look for ways to compete with them....Therefore, if they are feeling quite comfy in your garden in broad daylight, I'd say it's time you served them notice to quit.

WRT the rats, I know we should live and let live - but this is a tricky one. Any chance of getting another cat maybe - they have no guilt issues WHAT-SO-EVER (- you gotta luv' em!). |

live in the country on a quiet but fast road and sadly lost 2 2yr old british blue cats to cars.
problem is we have a few chickens and the garden backs on to a 300 acre hay field. guess we may have to get rid of the chooks to solve the problem | | |
