Thanks all.
Just got back from hols in France. Intend to give some of your suggestions a try (once i've dealt with the split tank in the loft and hallway ceilings now on the floor)

yes 2 of our hens are called sage and onion (hence the user name). We also have hot wings, nuggets, dippers, crackling and a roo called jalfrezi
