Unknown plant

Hi,I'm not even sure if I'm on the right site for doing this, I have a load of plants growing in my garden and I haven't a clue what they are. I have (hopefully ,if I'm doing this right) attached a pic of them.If anyone could help I would be really grateful.Thanks,

i'm no expert so await others comments, but i would say possibly Redshank I]Polygonum persicaria[/i]

Yep I agree, Redshank, though the scientific name is now Persicaria maculosa

Thanks people.Looked up Redshank and came up with lots of different names for it.Willow weed being one of them.Definately my plants.Not sure weather to get rid of them or not now,cos some sites said they were just weeds.But they look quite pretty when they're in flower.You can tell I'm not a gardener .Thanks again,Helen.

Weeds or no weeds if I liked it I would keep it.I think a lot of so called weeds are very pretty as long as you can keep them in check or just turn a part of the garden over to wild flowers as I am planning to do.When I can talk hubby into turning a bit of ground near my bird feeders over ready for planting my wildflower seeds when its time.Mind you the grass under the feeders seems to be sprouting alsorts already where the seeds drop to the ground
