| | Another newby!! Hi everyone in WAB.
Just joined today after finding the forum through Google and discovering a lot of like minded people out there! I live in the Highlands of Scotland near Glencoe and have been here almost five years now after leaving the suburbs of Manchester (hence the 2004 after highlander). I have a general interest in all wildlife from fungi to birds and everyting in between and am lucky to have otters and eagles on my doorstep. I hope I can contribute to the forum with some of my experiences and if anyone wants any tips or advice on the local wildlife then I will be very glad to help.

| | | Re: Another newby!! Hi Nick,
Although I joined the site a few months ago.. this is my first post
Sounds like you made a good move from the City out somewhere a bit special! Congratulations! I am actually heading up your way in September with my girlfriend. We are getting off at Corrour Station ion Rannoch Moor, and walking from there to Fort William (hopefully - though we need to get a bit fitter before we go!)
I don't suppose you have any suggestions for good places to go, or things to see interms of wildlife. I am hoping we will see a lot along the way.. but we could take a detour if there was anywhere in particular you knew of. We will also hopefull have a day spare once we reach Fort William, and were thnking of doing a boat trip from Oban to see some wildlife, but if you had any particular suggestions I would love to hear them...
By the way.. hi everyone... what a great site this is! And a big thanks to Captain .... (forgotten his name) who put upa great posty aboput the Findhorn Valley near Inverness. we went there in March and it was truly fantastic!
Cheers |

Lucky you living near Glencoe, the scenery there is stunning Saemus (WAB member) lives in Ballachulish and Anita is in the Black isle - I am not a little bit jealous at all, I'm extremely jealous! You'll love this site, it's fascinating and everyone on it is so helpful, they're lovely folk! I'm from Fife by the way.
