A complete Newbie here. I have always had an interest in Wildlife and Nature and love photographing wild birds, mammals and insects around my garden and local countryside. Having spent the last 20 years concentrating on Family & Work, I need to open up my horizons more and I would like to get out and meet like minded people with similar interests in local wildlife. :)

I live in Cwmbran, a new town (Roundabout City to those familiar with it) in South East Wales and live within easy reach of the South Wales coast and the Brecon Beacons.

I love all wildlife in general, though I do have an un-explainable fear of Snakes although I have tried to allay those fears recently when my eldest son introduced me to his Pet Snake. :(

Hi Kevinmw and welcome to WAB from a fellow Welshman, like you I'm only 30 min's drive away from the Brecon Beacons and quite often take a run up to the Usk reservoir.
But more often than not I spend the majority of my spare time at the Wetland centre in Llanelli, look forward to reading your posts, enjoy the site.
