Hi verynewbie and welcome to WAB.

Your image needs to go into a thread and not the main galleries, which are for high quality identified species.

Please see .... How can I put images in forum posts?

Re: Hi, puzzled

A warm welcome to WAB verynewbie. I hope you enjoy taking part in this very friendly forum.

I'm wondering if it is a Cockchafer. Here is a link to a photo of one taken by MTR.

Re: Hi, puzzled

Hi verynewbie, and welcome to WAB, I wouldn't worry to much about your beetle there arn't any poisonous ones in this country, and I'm sure as soon as you post a picture someone on this site will I.D. it for you.

Hi, I am glad you found your way here. You will find people here very helpful and I am sure someone will identify the bug you have an image of. Welcome to the forum.

Hi verynewbie and welcome to the site.

The Cockchafer is a fascinating creature with its big hand like antenna. I have only ever seen one it flew around a light near our garage.
