Click on manage attachments and another window will open allowing you to browse your pc for a pic or one from an online url.
This will also give you the file sizes allowed for whichever type of pic you are uploading ie .jpg or .bmp etc etc. |

It just 'flashes' and then disappears. I've attached photos to BBC Wales Nature and Surfing websites similar to this WAB website and not get this problem.
All 4 posting rules say I 'may'.

| | | Re: Hairy Caterpillar to ID Clicked a few times on the 'paperclip' attachment icon a few times, eventually attachment window opened and here we have finally the Hairy Caterpillar approx 6cms long, found on the coastal path on Manorbier cliffs Pembrokeshire. A lot of Common Blue and a Large Skipper Butterflies photographed in area at the same time.
Many thanks for any info on the caterpillar and also what is its staple food please?
Brgds

| | | Re: Hairy Caterpillar to ID Thanks Wild Woman and Oy. Have not managed to access Oy link but on another website Link here:- http://ukmoths.org.uk/show.php?id=425 could also be a Fox Moth larva. Both larva are possible for where found -Cliff tops at Manorbier, plenty Heather - Gorse - Bramble. Found middle of the day lying on the cliff path so unable to identify its food plant.

| | | Re: Hairy Caterpillar to ID Accessed your link Oy and had another look at my series of pictures. Colour cast can change at a different angle of taking the picture. Your link and one of my other pictures, the second one was after I put the caterpillar on some gorse (not knowing its food plant) and the sheen changes colour from brown to a much lighter colour more comparable to your link.

| | | Re: Hairy Caterpillar to ID Hello kev and Oy and others......have found this caterpillar on a quince bush in Luxembourg! I'd say it's not the Fox caterpillar, mine had more white bits on the side like kev's photo. Is that one definitely an oak eggar then? If so, what does the moth look like? | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
