Hello from South Wales

Hi

I'm a keen wildlife and landscape photographer, who enjoys being out and about in the countryside.

I'm looking forward to speaking to you all and picking up tips on where to find and how to photograph the elusive British wildlife

Gerald

Re: Hello from South Wales

Hi Gerald, a warm welcome to the site, as Dai has already mentioned there are lots of friendly and helpful people here who will help you with the 'how to photograph' wildlife.
As for where to, you won't go far wrong down the WWT Wetland centre, or Pembray country park, both venue's are excellent for birds, insects and reptiles, I'll probably see you down there

Hi Gerald, welcome to WAB, it's a fab place to spend some time You don't live too far from me actually, that's a first Agree that WWT penclacwydd is groovy, I also use the beacons a lot and make the odd trip to Gigrin farm. Not forgetting the pembrokeshire coast as that's gorgeous and has lots of choughs, puffins, etc Looking forward to your posts and pics.

ps is Dai on commission ??

Wow, v close

Red Kite Feeding Station - Gigrin Farm! This is the link so you can check feeding times. I go while the sun's out and make a day of it, you can go around the dams where the village is submerged, have nosh in Rhayader and spend several hours at the farm. fab !!
