The radio therapy won't be too bad but it will make you tired. Its a weird sort of tiredness just go with it and rest when you need to and you will be fine.
Take good care and look after yourself.

| | | Re: operation That's brilliant news Sue! I've been thinking of you and was a bit worried because you hadn't posted for a while. Now take things nice and easy, don't overdo anything, and let your body have all the time it needs to make a full recovery.
Looking forward to seeing more of your posts on WAB when you're better. |

| | | Re: operation Hi loony ... just seen this thread (don't come on much) ... glad the op went ok, the radiotherapy is a doddle compared to the stress leading up to the op (believe me, I had a similar experience 4 years ago)
I found that almost exactly 2 hours after the radiotherapy, I had to sleep. It really knocks you out, makes you feel sick/nauseous ... the 2 hour time-slot depends on the dosage of course. You'll learn to plan around it quite easily.
If you only need 3 doses, they must be quite confident of the success of the op.
If you need an objective talk about 'stuff' feel free to email me at naz@thechatterbank.co.uk for a chat.
It really does help to talk to someone you don't know, believe me.

What an inspirational thread this has turned out to be and what an inspirational person you are!
I think we've all been holding our breath for the last few weeks, and for you to go through all you've had to endure and share it with us on here takes a whole lot of courage.
I'm so pleased that the operation was successful, that's the best news possible and all we could have hoped for for you.
It sounds like you have lovely family and friends too.
So Good luck with the rest of your treatment and happy birding!!!

| | | Re: operation Brill! Nice to see you back on WAB Loony You have been in my thoughts !!! I have made good work relationships with my customers who have been through radiotherapy! first seeing them with head ware and smiles and now seeing them with just, bigger smiles and having a good chat with them gives me a warm feeling of the kindled times! I find 99.9 percent of customers as friends it's a privilege to be amongst so many nice people!
Glad to hear that things are good and your getting out and enjoying!
Take care and best wishes Loony (takes one to know one )-Jez
