thanks! I also posted this in the bird section. I added a bit of red electrical tape to the green ones and it appears to be working, and I moved one closer to the hedge, so far so good. We get a lot of tits, some small wee brown birds and some green birds, possibly finches (not too good at the identifying). The starlings however, sit on top of the feeders chasing any bird who approaches even thought they aren't feeding themselves!
